The ICSA has announced protests outside sheep factories to denounce the recent fall in lamb prices.
The organisation will demonstrate at Kepak Athleague in Co Roscommon on Monday and the Irish Farmers Journal understands other dates are being considered.
Lamb prices fell sharply this week, from €5.40/kg paid on Monday to €5.30/kg or €5.20/kg in the second half of the week. Factory agents are now reported to be pushing base quotes to or below the €5/kg mark.
