ABP and Dawn Meats have secured High Court orders against the Beef Plan Movement and 22 individually named farmers.
A notice posted outside the ABP plant in Cahir, Co Tipperary, and other ABP plants names the Beef Plan Movement Company Limited by Guarantee, as well as Joseph Trehy, James Brennan, Alan Fitzgerald, Patrick Ryan, Tom Hennessy, PJ English, Eoin Morrissey, Mary Ryan, Edward Ryan, David Curran, Michael Frisby, Martin McCarthy and Daniel Long as defendants.
The notice orders that the named individuals, as well “their respective servants or agents, or any persons acting in concert with them or with knowledge of the making of such an order” be restrained from:

The order applies until Friday 30 August at 11am or until further order in the meantime.
The notice also includes a handwritten note, known as a penal endorsement. It warns that if the 13 farmers listed above, their servants, agents and all persons acting in concert with them, and all persons having notice of the making of the within order fail, refuse or neglect to obey the order, they will render themselves liable for imprisonment, and/or attachment and/or committal.

Dawn Meats Ireland obtained a similar order and posted a notice outside the Meadow Meats plant in Rathdowney, Co Laois.
In Dawn’s case, the defendants are listed as the Beef Plan Movement Company Limited by Guarantee and the individuals Max Delahunty, Jack Frisby, Declan Ryan, Liam Cunningham, James Kennedy, John Hassett, Michael Power, James O'Shea and Tom Fitzpatrick.
It also carries a printed penal endorsement warning the nine listed farmers that if the order is not obeyed, they risk imprisonment.
