A man was injured in an incident involving a van at the gates of the ABP plant in Cahir, Co Tipperary, on Wednesday.
Gardaí were at the scene and emergency services have been called.
The injured man had been protesting at the factory gates since morning. The van drove through straw bales that had been placed at the entrance by the protesters.

Investigation
Gardaí at the scene told the Irish Farmers Journal that the matter is under investigation.
It is understood that CCTV footage of the incident is being sought by gardaí.
In a separate incident, gardaí are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a lorry which went on fire in Co Tipperary in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The Irish Farmers Journal understands the vehicle in question was a cattle lorry belonging to a haulier that was parked in a yard.
