The German government this week approved plans to systematically reduce the use of herbicides containing glyphosate from 2020 onwards in the country, and intends to ban its use in by 2023. As part of the proposal, Angela Merkel’s cabinet also intends on opposing any requests to renew glyphosate’s licence in the EU.
The active is cleared for use here until December 2022.
