Fifteen Irish factories have been recently visited by Chinese inspectors and it is thought they could receive approval before end of the year.

Seventeen additional beef factories in Brazil have been approved to export beef to China, more than doubling the 15 already approved.
In addition, eight beef-exporting factories in Argentina have also been approved, as well as one in Uruguay.
This means that Brazil will have the capacity to at least double its exports to China, which were over 37,000t in August this year, a record. Argentina’s beef exports to China are just under 200,000t for the period of January to July this year. That could grow by a further 4,000t/month with the extra factories approved.
