Gardaí are investigating a fatal accident which occurred on a farm in Dromcollogher, Co Limerick, on 29 September 2019.
A man in his 80s was discovered unresponsive and injured while he had been attending to livestock, a garda spokesperson said.
“Gardaí and emergency services attended and the man was brought to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries bit was pronounced dead on the 2 October. A post-mortem examination will be carried out at a later date,” the spokesperson said.

Both the local coroner and Health and Safety Authority (HSA) have been notified.
Second fatal accident
It is the second fatal farm accident to happen this week. On Monday, a man died in a farm accident on a Cork farm.
It is understood the man was in his seventies and was checking on stock at the time.
