As previously reported in the Irish Farmers Journal, with seven beef exporting factories already doing business there, the Irish beef industry is now in a position to export three times as much beef with the addition of these extra factories.
Seven beef factories that are already approved are; ABP Nenagh and Clones; Kepak Clonee; Foyle Donegal; Liffey Meats, Slaney; and Dawn Charleville.
Audits for approval of the factories took place in September 2019, amidst the farmer protests outside the gates.
