Teagasc is looking for graduates to apply for a number of derogation support adviser roles in 18 of its offices across the country.
The roles are temporary and are for four months. The main aim of the role is to support advisers in the provision of a derogation support service to clients. The closing date to apply is Monday 11 November.
Those applying need to hold a relevant level eight degree in agricultural science or equivalent, with experience or education in soil science desirable.

Applicants must also have an expert agricultural knowledge and demonstrate how they stay abreast of current best practices and research.
They must also have knowledge of nutrient management planning, understanding soil sample results, stocking rate calculations and understand the nitrates directive.
Advisers will be required to have their own transport in order to efficiently carry out the duties of the role. Travel and subsistence expenses will be payable at approved public service rates.
The salary grade is agricultural development officer grade.
Duties and responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities will include:
To provide a derogation support service to clients.
Meet weekly derogation targets.
To assist management and administrative staff in achieving good governance and risk management through co-operation and adherence to administrative procedures and practices including GDPR.
To assist Teagasc in meeting the commitments of the quality customer service charter and action plan.
Fully co-operate with the provisions made for ensuring the health, safety and welfare of themselves, fellow staff and non-Teagasc staff and co-operate with management in enabling Teagasc to comply with legal obligations. This includes full compliance with the responsibilities outlined in the safety statement.
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
