Tractor and plant machinery dealer Seamus Kane, aged 50, of Ardnagullion, Granard, Co Longford pleaded guilty at Longford Circuit court on Tuesday 26 November 2019 to four counts of possession of four stolen Hitachi Zaxis 130 excavators. The case was heard by Judge Eoin Garavan.
The excavators had a combined value of €240,000. They were recovered in May 2017 during an intelligence lead operation by gardaí from Granard garda station and the Garda Stolen Vehicle Unit.
The case is remanded back to the 14 January 2020 for sentencing.
