It will be cold and dry, apart from a few light showers in the southwest, according to Met Éireann.

Good sunny spells will develop in most areas, with highest temperatures of 4°C to 9°C, coldest in Ulster and mildest in the south.

Most areas will be dry on Friday night, with a widespread sharp frost and coldest in the north. Cloudy and breezy in the south, with outbreaks of rain in south Munster.

Saturday

Rain in the far south will clear and most areas will have a dry, cool and bright day in a fresh northeast breeze.

Sunny spells best in the north. Temperatures at best in high single figures. A widespread severe frost will follow for Saturday night.

Sunday

Light and isolated showers near north coasts are predicted. However, Sunday will be another cool, but fine and dry day, with variable small amounts of cloud and good sunny spells. Another widespread sharp frost will follow for Sunday night.
