Gardaí in Granard, Co Longford, are appealing for information in relation to the theft of sheep from two farmyards in the county.
It is understood nine sheep were taken from two farmyards in the Edgeworthstown area of Co Longford. The theft happened between 22 and 23 January.
“Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have observed anything unusual on 22 January between Edgeworthstown and Ballinalee or any road users who may have camera footage to contact gardaí in Granard on 043-666 87660, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station,” a Garda spokesperson told the Irish Farmers Journal

Gardaí are continuing to advise farmers to remain vigilant and to contact them if they see anything suspicious in the county.
