Saturday's sale at Dowra Mart saw a large entry of stock on offer. The coronavirus outbreak was having an effect, with large numbers of cattle on offer from farmers fearing sales restrictions may be on the way. There was very strong buyer activity for the same reason.

Across most of the west of the country there is a lot of buyer activity stemming from farmers trying to secure stock numbers to meet the seven-month retention period for the ANC scheme.
