Gardaí in Midleton are appealing for information after five containers of liquid nitrogen were stolen from a farmyard in east Cork.
The theft occurred between the hours of 1am and 7.30am on Tuesday 5 May in Killeagh.
The containers were removed using an Ifor Williams trailer. Other specialised farm machinery was also taken during the theft.

Gardaí have asked that anyone who was in the Killeagh area at the time in question and any road users travelling in the area who may have dash-cam footage should contact Youghal Garda station on 02492200.

Members of the public who come across this product have been warned by Gardaí not to interfere with the containers. Liquid nitrogen is colourless, odourless and tasteless and when spilled or in contact with skin, it can cause severe burns.
No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing.
