An Garda Síochána were called to Kildare Chilling on Thursday 14 May where a man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí arrived at the meat plant shortly after 10am and the incident is being called an “industrial accident”.

The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has launched an investigation into the accident. The man is understood to have been working in the boning hall section of the factory at the time.
