No agreement was reached on a review of the Purchase Price Index (PPI) at an Ornua board meeting held last week, the Irish Farmers Journal understands.

The subject of the review is the assumed processing costs of 6.5c/l used by Ornua. It is understood dairy processors are pushing for this figure to be increased, as they feel it is no longer an accurate reflection of their cost base.

Agreement on any changes will now be pushed to the July meeting of the Ornua board.
