Young people aged between 16 and 18 are being sought to take part in a new farm safety survey by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA).
The HSA is developing an agricultural farm safety resource for young people and its agri-youth survey aims to find out more about young people and their work on farms.
Those taking part will be asked what type of farm they live on, if they would like to manage their own farm one day and if they currently work or help out on their home farm.

The HSA asks what age the person was when they started helping out or working on the farm and how often they work on farm currently.
It also asks what tasks the young person carries out on the farm, from machinery work and milking to maintenance such as fencing.
Young people will also be asked if they help out with “contractor-related tasks” such as silage or harvest work.
They are also asked what type of farm work they most enjoy, what work they dislike and if they ever use any personal protective equipment when working.
Hazards
Those taking part in the survey are also asked to name one hazard on their home farm, what types of machinery (from quad bikes to harvesting machinery) are on farm and if they drive any machinery themselves.
Young people aged between 16 and 18 only can take part in the survey here.
