A £1m project in England will result in bison roaming in Britain for the first time in 6,000 years.
I’m told a bull and three cows are to be released into woodland in Kent and an area fenced off for them to roam. The bison will come from the Netherlands or Poland. Bison are being introduced to target and eat bark in addition to grasses and sedges as part of a conservation project.
