Rural theft
Gardaí in Tipperary have reported an increase in farm thefts in recent weeks, with the latest involving a quad bike stolen from the Borrisoleigh area.
Inspector James White from Thurles Garda Station told the Irish Farmers Journal that three trailers and a quad have been stolen in the county in recent weeks.
“We have seen a notable spike in farm thefts, with a trailer and quad bike stolen from farms in the Borrisoleigh area. We are currently exploring the connection between the thefts. It’s likely the stolen trailer was used as a means to transport the quad.”
