The native breed autumn sale took place in Dungannon earlier this week, with a sticky trade all round.
Less than 50% of the catalogued cattle were present, due to strong off-farm business over the past month.
Despite the small numbers forward, buyers were few and far between.
In total six Hereford bulls were offered with three finding new homes.
This was led by a price of 3,000gns for Solpoll 1 Show Time. Bred and exhibited by J and W McMordie, this April 2019-born bull is homebred on both sides of the pedigree.
This one lift meant that the three Herefords present sold for 2,300gns. The two heifers in attendance also left unsold.
Angus lots
The Angus lots proved just as tough, with only three of the seven bulls forward selling.
This was topped by a call of 2,600gns for Dartrey Ebenetze V237.
Bred and exhibited by Hylda Mills and Brian Johnston, the April 2019-born bull first left the ring unsold, before finding a buyer outside.
Sired by the homebred Dartley Elliot, he is out of a homebred dam by Logie Lusture. Angus bulls averaged 2,400gns.
