When the idea of hosting an event for Women in Agriculture originally occurred to Jade Fielding - Agricultural Specialist with Arrabawn - she didn’t anticipate just how positively it would be received

Suffice to say, the event has morphed out of the Arrabawn shop in Nenagh and into the front car park. On the day, programme co-ordinator for the professional diploma in dairy farm management, Emma-Louise Coffey (pictured) will host a panel discussion with a group of well-known women in agriculture but there will be food, fun and all things farming on the day.

Jade said: “As a woman who is farming independently it came to my attention that there was no platform for women in agriculture to meet up, share experiences, gain inspiration or even ask for help. There will be educational, career and social opportunities to be availed of at this event. I hope any daughters, mothers, sisters who’ve been bit by the farming bug will attend and enjoy themselves.

“I am so grateful to Arrabawn for backing me and pushing this event”.
