What should you do if your child has no interest in farming, but your niece does? Can you leave it to your niece?

She says that the farm can be left to anyone the owner wishes it to be left to.

Aisling recommends having a conversation with the child or children about who the farm is being left to, to iron out any expectations the child may have about the inheritance of the farm.

She added that it's important to not lease the farm to the niece or nephew, as this compromises their claim for favorite niece/nephew relief.
