Met Éireann has forecast temperatures of up to 30°C on Thursday, with a possibility of thunderstorms.
It has issued a nationwide status yellow high temperature and advisory warnings for the coming days.
The status yellow warning is in place from 12pm Tuesday to 9am Friday morning.
Maximum temperatures in excess of 27°C are forecast during the day, with minimum nighttime temperatures of greater than 15°C expected.
Heat stress, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and water safety issues are among concerns expressed by the national forecaster amid the mild, humid weather.
