Kinisla has increased its base price for July milk supplies to 37.42c/l excluding VAT, including quality and sustainability bonuses.

This represents an increase of 1.05c/l ex-VAT for the month of July.

“If the emerging contraction in European milk supply persists through the second half, the resulting tightening in product availability could provide firmer support to European dairy prices later in the year, particularly if demand improves from current levels,” the co-op commented.

Drought support

Kinisla has also announced that it is introducing a drought-support measure for milk suppliers to assist them in the current challenging, prolonged dry conditions.

The support will include an increased discount of €50 on selected dairy feeds and came into effect on Friday 14 August, running until Saturday 5 September.

Lakeland Dairies also increased its milk price for July supplies last week.
