The Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline to complete farm improvement plans under the KT scheme by two days.

The initial deadline had been 31 July, and it was already pushed back to 21 August, after many consultants reported difficulties in uploading documents to the Department's online system.

As of Monday morning, over 1,700 of the 20,000 farmers in the KT scheme had unfinished farm improvement plans. Another 110 had animal health plans in progress in the system.

The Department has advised facilitators that the deadline extension was due to an outage in the scheme's online submission system from midnight to 9.45am on Monday morning.

Queries can be directed to 076-1064457, emailed to ktinformation@agriculture.gov.ie for general queries and ktpvp@agriculture.gov.ie in relation to animal health measure queries. Department staff will be on duty to provide support until 7pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, and until midnight on Wednesday.
