The Macra na Feirme issue has been gathering spectacular momentum. The issue, you ask? It relates to a particularly bad bit of planning by its generally well-meaning chief executive Edmond Connolly over a calendar.
Most thought that the calendar was produced to help raise funds for the Walk in My Shoes mental health initiative, but it turns out that not all the funds went to the charity. A badly thought-out plan.

Last week, a meeting of Leitrim Macra put forward a motion of no confidence in Connolly and rumours have been swirling that others will follow. Suicide is a serious issue and Macra has handled this appallingly, but should it require resignations?
