Ireland experienced a week of extreme weather as Storm Eleanor wreaked havoc across the west and south of the country at the start of the week, and then the week concluded with temperatures reaching as low as -5°C in some parts of the country on Saturday night.
Inspired by the cold snap, farmers took a few snaps of their own to show weather conditions on their farms.
A well-known photographer on the show circuit and a breeder of pedigree Hereford cattle, Edward Dudley took some lovely shots of his cattle in Co Tipperary this morning.

Storm Eleanor has left some farmers on clean-up duty as you can see from a tweet from Velvet Cloud, who make yoghurt and cheese from sheep’s milk on their farm in Co Mayo.

Aaron Forde sent a picture in to the Irish Farmers Journal of Cullohill, Co Laois, this morning.
The cold spell even spread across the Irish Sea to this farm in Cumbria.
