Met Éireann has extended their status yellow snow and ice warning for the country, with Ulster and northwest Connacht expected to bear the brunt of the cold weather.
The weather warning remains in place until Friday 19 January at 12pm, and motorists are warned that there may be an accumulation of ice on untreated road surfaces.

The warning follows a week of particularly cold weather, with Storm Fionn leaving homes and farms without power earlier in the week, and a status orange warning bringing snowfall to the north of the country.
