A customised Valtra Unlimited N Series tractor has set off on a summer-long tour of agricultural shows and country events across the UK and Ireland, with a mission to raise as much money as possible for the Breast Cancer Care charity.

The pink machine starts its journey at the North Somerset Show at Wraxall, near Bristol, on 1 May, to end up more than five months later – when it will be gracing a charity event – at Ruyton X1 Towns, between Shrewsbury and the Welsh border. A total of 23 locations are on the itinerary, including the Irish National Ploughing Championships in September.

The tractor itself is a 155hp N154 – a fourth generation, award-winning model – which has been finished to the company’s individual specification at the Valtra Unlimited Studio facility in Suolahti, Finland. This exclusive design option is available to Valtra customers seeking an element of exclusivity when tackling their mainstream workload.

Each day, more than 140 women in the UK and Ireland are diagnosed with breast cancer, a figure that currently multiplies up to 50,000 annually. It is predicted that, along current trends, the yearly total is likely to have reached 57,000 by 2030.

Donations can be made through a Justgiving website – www.justgiving.com/ValtraPinkTractor and at the end of its nationwide tour of events, the tractor will be offered for sale by auction, with the profit realised going to the charity.
