The cattle trade at Rathfriland Mart was steady on last week, with strong prices on offer for all classes of stock.
Prices for bullocks peaked at £1,455 for a 682kg Charolais animal.
The quality of cattle on offer was exceptional, which led to brisk bidding.
Other noted prices for heavy fleshed bullocks were £1,405 and £1,385 for Charolais animals, with £1,255 paid for a 610kg Simmental.
Bullocks weighing 450kg to 550kg sold from £700 to £1,060.
Heifers were lighter than previous weeks and sold to £950 for cattle weighing 400kg to 450kg.
Weanlings sold to £950 for a 360kg Charolais male, while a 390kg Hereford animal sold for £800.
Suckler cows with calves at foot sold from £1,350 to £1,750. In-calf animals sold from £800 to £900.
Fat cows sold to a top price of £1,080 for an Angus, with a Stabiliser cow selling for £980. Holstein cows sold to £600.
