The Teagasc septoria conference scheduled for 22 March will have both international and practical presentations.

Steven Kildea of Teagasc Oak Park, said he will have a number of international speakers who will speak on the whole area of resistance and why and how septoria has been so successful in evolving against fungicides.

The conference will cover all aspects of resistance, from complete resistance in the case of the strobilurins to the ongoing sensitivity reduction being experienced by triazoles.

Speakers

There will be contributions from ADAS, Aarhus University and Rothamsted.

The day will also have many presentations on the very practical considerations that relate to septoria control.

Speakers will ask if we in Ireland are on the edge of a long-term inability to get good field control of this disease.
