Bred by Peter and Marion O’Connell, Mallow, Co Cork this Anatrim Bodybuilder daughter is no stranger to success having already secured top rosettes at Clonakilty and Charleville. Not stopping there Peter and Marion also picked up the champion pair when Verona joined forces with her October 2015 comrade Goldie Dreamer.

Securing top spot in the senior interbreed section was the day’s Angus champion Mogeely Miylo. Miylo, bred by Albert De Cogan, Castlemartyr, Co Cork, continued her unbeaten streak in the Angus ring when judge Eustace Burke tapped her forward.

Sired by three time All-Ireland champion Rosemead Karona, Miylo did one better than the DeCogans stock bull Wedderlie Black Box who took up the reserve place. Black Box is also no stranger to success having racked up a number of male championships already this year. The two then came together to secure the reserve rosette in the pairs competition.

Standing reserve junior interbreed champion was the Blue champion Jackson. Brought out by Tim and Denise O’Donovan, Dunmanway the Emperial son have already secured championships at Bandon, Clonakilty, Tralee and Belgooly.

The reserve senior interbreed sash went to the days Limousin champion. Newtown Inspire was the name of the October 2014 heifer who was brought out by local breeders the Wyscherely family.

Clinching the Hereford championship was Adrian Batemans’s Slieveroe Elsie. Sired by Kilronan Leader this nine year old already secured the reserve interbreed at Belgooly this year.

In the commercial ring Derek Sheehy came up trumps. “Belinda” had already secured the commercial championship at Dunmanway last week.
