Brisk farmer and factory agent demand is resulting in a continued strong mart trade as numbers increase.

Fleshed and short-keep cattle and cows are being met with the strongest demand, with prices surpassing what farmers killing small numbers can obtain in factories in some cases.

A firm store cattle trade has continued also, with feeders and farmer activity underpinning demand. Export activity for weanling bulls has been low.

The average 350kg continental bull is making €800 to €850/head, with top-quality types making €950 to €1,000/head.
