The latest results on new tractor registrations from the FTMTA Statistics Service shows that 91 new tractors were registered in September, giving a total market for three quarters of the year at 1,757. This is a 2% increase on the year to date compared with last year, indicating a steady market, despite difficult farming conditions.
Used tractor imports continue to be strong, with sterling weak. The September figures show that 156 used tractors were imported and registered during the month. There was significant growth in used tractor imports of almost 40% compared with the numbers of used tractors imported in September 2015.
