New tractor registrations declined by 4% in March compared with the same month in 2014.
FTMTA registration service figures show a total of 221 new tractors were registered in March, giving a first-quarter figure of 779 new tractors, compared with 814 for the first quarter of 2014. The 100 to 120hp sector continues to dominate the market and accounts for 34% of all registrations, followed by the 121 to 150hp sector, which accounts for 29%. Tractors under 100hp account for less than 10% of the market.
