Tomas, who is a beef and sheep farmer based in Tuam, Co Galway, shared his views on farm safety for FBD's new campaign.

"There seems to be a lot of rushing, and people take risks when they are rushing," he said. "I think farmers shouldn't put things on the long finger. If something is broken, it should be fixed straight away. People should be on their guardat all times because there are a lot of risks out there."

He also spoke about the risks of working with slurry and teaching his children about the dangers of farming.
