The 480kg Limousin cross heifer was auctioned by the Taoiseach for charity with the money going to Pieta House. She sold for €1,400 to a ringside buyer (€2.91/kg). The auction was video-linked to the Taoiseach's launch of a fibre broadband pilot programme in Belcarra, Co. Mayo at which Minister for Communications Alex White was present.
