The 32-county bale challenge is travelling around the country this week.
Reporting high spirits and good weather, members of the Active Agri Association embarked on the second day of their challenge to make 100 silage bales in each of Ireland’s 32 counties this week.
Watch the Meath leg of the event as captured on the Irish Farmers Journal’s Snapchat account earlier on Tuesday.
The challenge started on Monday with baling taking place in Derry, Antrim, Down and Armagh, Monaghan and Cavan.
Host farmers pay €10/bale and contractors provide the service for free, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, Dublin, and Daisy Lodge, the Cancer Fund for Children therapeutic centre in Newcastle, Co Down.
