It is no secret that children love spending time out on the farm during the school holidays. And Easter is one of the most exciting times for a child to be outdoors. The weather is improving, flowers are blooming, the birds are singing and there are Easter eggs to be hunted down and devoured.
However, as much as they love it, it is important to remember that farms can be extremely dangerous places for children with lots of hazards about.
Deaths among people working in agriculture are by far the highest among the various employment sectors. The vulnerability of children on farms is therefore self-evident.
