Met Éireann is forecasting sunny spells and April showers on Saturday. Rain will become widespread by lunchtime and will turn heavy in central and eastern areas.

A clearance in western areas in the early afternoon will reach eastern areas by early evening with top temperatures forecast of 10°C to 12 °C on Saturday.

Patches of mist, fog and frost will develop on Saturday night. Clear skies and temperatures of 0°C to 3°C are forecast.

On Sunday, expect a dry, bright day, with some good sunny spells. Temperatures will peak between 10°C and 14°C after a cold start.

Met Éireann is forecasting cloudy conditions along the Atlantic seaboard later in the evening, with dry conditions elsewhere and lowest temperatures 4°C to 7°C.
