Rain and blustery conditions will persist along the western half of the country on Monday according to Met Éireann. The majority of the east will see little in the way of rain.

AS the day progresses, the wind and the rain in the west will ease off. Top temperatures of 12°C to 15°C.

For Tuesday we will see the start of more dry and settle conditions. A high pressure will rest over Ireland right out until the weekend. However, the high pressure will be an Atlantic high so there may not be much in the way of long periods of sunshine. It will be dry, though.

Top temperatures on Tuesday of 10°C to 12°C.

It will be much of the same for Wednesday; dry and settle but there is a slight risk of some drizzle along northern coasts. Again, top temperatures will be 10°C to 12°C but will dip down to between 2°C to 4°C.

Much of the same for Thursday and Friday, but it should be brighter with cloud cover lifting. With the coming out of the sun, the daily top temperatures will rise to 13°C or 14°C.

Moving to the weekend, the high pressure will continue to build. Not only is it expected to stay dry, temperatures look set to build too.
