Carbery Group, based in west Cork, has increased milk price for February by 1.5c/l. It is now up to the four co-ops within Carbery (Lisavaird, Drinagh, Barryroe and Bandon) to decide whether they wish to follow suit.
Last month, Carbery held its January milk price, with both Drinagh and Lisavaird following suit.
Co-ops are now starting to set milk prices for last month’s supplies. Earlier this Monday, Lakeland held its milk price at 29.7c/l excluding VAT for February supplies.

The board of Glanbia also met on Monday and has decided to keep February milk price unchanged.
Ornua PPI
Last week, the Ornua purchase price index (PPI) for February was unchanged.
The PPI stands at 105.4 for February, unchanged from January. This is the first time the monthly index did not rise since starting its recovery from the rock-bottom value of 81 last summer.
