Gardaí believe the equipment was stolen during burglaries in Ireland and the UK.
It is understood that most, if not all, of the equipment was discovered in a farm shed close to the village of Ardfinnan.

The sheds have ben rented out as storage and business units by the retired farmer to other individuals for several years.
Several other locations were also searched by gardaí from Cahir.
A man in his late 20s has been arrested and is currently detained at Cahir Garda Station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice act 1984.
Garda spokesman Damian Hogan said the discovery was a result of a surveillance-led operation and ongoing investigations into the theft of property in the Tipperary division.
