Gardaí pulled over a driver of a tractor in Lifford, Co Donegal, on Friday morning. It was established that the driver was disqualified from driving and had no insurance.

He was charged with driving without insurance and with no licence. Court proceedings are set to follow.

It is a busy time for farm machinery on the roads with a call for patience from all road users coming from the Road Safety Authority.

Drivers are also reminded that they most hold the correct licence to drive a tractor or farm vehicle.
