A clearance auction was held on Saturday 29 June in Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, where over 130 various different machinery lots were up for sale. It was hosted by Kingscourt Mart.

The auction was hosted on behalf of Robert and John Pollock who are winding down from their agricultural contracting business.

In total, 134 lots were up for auction, with many items attracting a lot of attention and interest among bidders.

The auction was a huge success, with a clearance rate of 97% and only four lots not selling on the day.

Here are some of the top items that were snatched up on the day.

One bidder purchased this rare vintage Ford Ploughmaster 75hp 4wd tractor for €7,000.

This 10ft Parmiter disk harrow interested bidders, eventually selling for €3,050.

A bidder at the auction picked up this clean 7t Chieftain dump trailer ideal for farm work for €3,000.

On person at the auction managed to snap up this 14ft Ifor Williams cattle trailer for €4,800.

One bidder managed to aquire this three score reversible plough for €4,200 at the auction.

This Kuhn FC302 10ft conditioner mower with swather for grouping rows made €5,000.
