Gardaí from the road policing unit in Co Meath stopped a John Deere tractor being driven by a 12-year-old boy in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The boy was driving the tractor on Jonathan Swift St, Trim, Co Meath, at approximately 12.30am accompanied by two other boys, aged 15 and eight.

The tractor was detained for road offences and the boys were brought to Trim Garda Station where their parents were contacted.
