With spooky season firmly upon us and not a whole pile of opportunity to celebrate, more than ever people will be opting for some Halloween movies and series.

We’ve taken a look at some of the Halloween stuff on Netflix at the moment. So, whether you like things light or super scary, we’ve got options for you.

The Conjuring

Released in 2013, The Conjuring is an American supernatural horror film not for the fainthearted. It is purportedly based on true events.

Set in 1971, paranormal investigators come to assist a family who are experiencing disturbing events in the farmhouse they have just moved into. And, well, you guessed it, things get pretty scary from there on in.

The Haunting of Bly Manor

This Netflix original series is proving very popular at the minute, trending regularly on most-watched lists.

There is currently one series on the steaming site and it’s loosely based on the work of author Henry James.

The Haunting of Bly Manor follows a young au pair after she is hired by a man to look after his niece and nephew. But the happenings on Bly Estate are far from normal!

The Addams Family

Now, if scary movies aren’t your thing, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Halloween on screen.

The Addams Family, a favourite with all ages, is currently on Netflix. Based on characters from the cartoon created by Charles Addams, this 1991 film follows the eccentric family as a con-artist attempts to rob them using an accomplice who claims to be a long-lost uncle.

Hubie Halloween

Hubie Halloween was recently released on Netflix and is another easy watch. This comedy is co-written by and stars Adam Sandler.

Set in Salem, Hubie Dubois is perceived as a joke by adults and children alike, but when things get weird around Salem, it’s up to Hubie to save Halloween.
