Gardaí from Tullamore and Edenderry detective units have recovered a stolen Honda quad during searches carried out on Saturday morning 23 January.

The quad was seized in Daingan, Co Offaly, and is now in Garda possession.

“A lot of these stolen quads are sold on to young fellas in housing estates who use them on waste ground and away from the road,” the sergeant at Tullamore Garda Station told the Irish Farmers Journal.

“This makes it difficult for gardaí to track them down when they are out of sight. When people ring into the station and report the use of these quads, we can investigate and check if they were acquired illegally.”

Recovery

Gardaí in Laois and Offaly are looking to find the owner of the Honda quad. Proof of ownership will be required.

If you own this quad or know the person who does, ring Tullamore Garda Station on 057-932 7600.
