The vice-presidents are Gerard Griffin (Munster), Odile Evans (Leinster) and Caroline O’Dowd (north west).

O'Dowd is a member of South Sligo Macra since 2006 and is deputy principal of a primary school. Meanwhile, Griffin works as a teacher and farmer and has been a member of Macra since 2005.

Evans (21) is one of the youngest people to run in Macra's national elections. Currently completing a degree in Agricultural Science at University College Dublin (UCD), she is a member of Johnstown/Coolgreany Macra.

Evans told the Irish Farmers Journal that she was not going to let her age hold her back.

"It's exactly why I ran," she said. "Macra needs the youth and vibrancy of its members reflected at national level. I received a really positive reaction throughout my campaign."

Sean Finan was elected president of Macra. He will officially take up his role after the Macra AGM on the 9 May. Read more here.
