The MV Sarah, which is owned by a company in Lebanon, had been awaiting final veterinary approval.

Turkey has become a good outlet for Irish cattle in the past year.
In 2016, Co Meath-based exporter Viastar shipped some 20,000 cattle to Turkey. More recently, exporters Purcell Brothers have secured a contract to ship young bulls to Turkey. The bulls must be born since May of last year and weigh under 320kg.
