Nuffield Ireland has announced the recipients of the seven Nuffield scholarships awarded after this year’s selection process. They are:

  • Maire Ahern McCarthy, Ballyhandle, Innishannon, Co Cork.
  • Maeve O’Keeffe, Kilphilibeen, Ballynoe, Mallow, Co Cork.
  • Brian Rushe, Coonagh, Carbury, Co Kildare.
  • Aidan Gleeson, Coolavery, Ballyorgan, Kilfinane, Co Limerick.
  • Joe Burke, Caherconlish, Co Limerick.
  • John Buckley, Aughaville, Bantry, Co Cork.
  • Kevin Moran, Killamanagh, Caherlistrane, Co Galway.

    • Nuffield Ireland is an independent organisation that promotes excellence by developing and supporting individuals with leadership potential. It is part of the international Nuffield Trust and provides bursaries to cover the cost of an international study.

    In Ireland, funding towards the cost of the bursaries is provided by FBD Trust, the Agricultural Trust, Golden Jubilee Trust, Irish Farmers’ Association, Meat Industry Ireland, Aurivo, GIIL, Dairymaster, LIC and the Peter Daly Trust.
